DOCK DOGS COMPETITION

DockDogs return to the 55th Annual Fort Wayne Sports, Vacation & Boat Show March 13-16, 2008!

Not only is the DockDogs Community excited to return and host a High Flying show for Ft. Wayne Show goers, but this event has been designated as a “DOUBLE POINT” event for the DockDogs High Points Chase awards contingency, and is being presented by Cabela’s to include the Cabela’s contingency pay outs. Bring your dog down and give North America’s fastest growing Family Canine Sport a try or drop buy and watch as the high Flying action of DockDogs keeps you on the edge of your seat. Kids are welcome and the “splash zone is a blast”.

DockDogs will host a series of competitions including Big Air and Extreme Vertical. In addition, the new discipline of SPEED RETRIEVE will be featured, so be sure to reserve your seat as the dogs are there to perform and the energy will be off the charts. TWIGGY THE WATER-SKIING SQUIRREL

IT'S TWIGGY!! She has traveled the world with her amazing water-skiing talent. Like her predecessors, Twiggy captivates the hearts of her audience as she water-skis at different events nationwide.

In 1978 a little squirrel was rescued from a hurricane and raised by Chuck and Lou Ann Best. The late Chuck Best thought of the idea and he and Lou Ann taught her to water-ski. Never in their wildest dreams did they anticipate that she would become the worlds most sought after water-skier. Twiggy has appeared on television, in newspapers and magazines all over the world. TINY TOTS TEST TRACK

Let the little ones ride on mini motorcycles and quads at the Tiny Tots Test Track sponsored by Hayden Honda. Great for first timers and amateurs, the Tiny Tot Test Track is safe and fun for your future biker or 4-wheeler.

Hayden Honda will provide the test track, motorcycles, quads and apparel. The only problem will be pulling your child away!

PEAK ADVENTURE ROCK WALL

Are you ready for the Rock? This custom designed mobile rock wall stands 24 feet tall and adds a dash of extreme sports to the Fort Wayne Sports, Vacation & Boat Show! The Wall is open to anyone who wants to give rock climbing a try. The Wall has been one of the most popular exhibits at past shows and with the increasing popularity of the X-games, more people will climb the rock wall this year than ever before!

HAWG TROUGH

This 5,000 gallon aquarium measuring an astounding 40’ long, 4’ wide and 8’ deep, is one of the show's leading attractions. Here visitors can receive expert information from the pros as they watch various seminars conducted throughout the show. Watch in amazement as the best anglers in the country share their secrets and catch fish right before your eyes!

KIDS DAY

Saturday, March 15th is Kids Day at the Fort Wayne Sports, Vacation & Boat Show. That means the first 250 children (ages 3-12) through the door will receive a FREE rod and reel!

No need for a sitter - bring your kids. They can enjoy scaling the Rock Wall, fishing in the Trout Tank and lots more! There is something for everybody at the show, so your young ones are sure to enjoy themselves.

LIVE ANIMAL EXHIBIT

Hardcore Hoosier Hunters aren't the only "Wild Animals" to be found at the Fort Wayne Sports, Vacation & Boat Show. Stop by and check out the Live Animal Exhibit from Richard English. Stare wild cats eye to eye and get straight to the point with an African Porcupine. You will definitely set your goals high when you see the Live Turkey Grand Slam on display. This set up is so exciting it will have you and the Live Wolf howling at the moon!

The 200 Club Monster Bucks Display

The Muzzy 200 Club was created in 2003 as a promotional program that would highlight an elite group of bowhunters. To be a member of the “Club” a Bowhunter had to harvest a whitetail buck that scored over 200 net inches Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young, with a Muzzy broadhead.

In 2004, they began creating a display from the bucks harvested by the members of the 200 Club. They selected ten of the most impressive racks and set out to recreate these magnificent bucks and share them and their story with hunters everywhere.

Each buck on display is a big, heavy, main frame typical with enough non-typical mass to be scored non-typical. Each of the bucks are certified Monsters surrounded by a multi-media show of information and entertainment. This is the kind of display that Disney would create! Think about it…the smallest rack scores 205 net, the largest is over 293 gross!

The 200 Club display currently consists of life-size, full body mounts and pedestal mounts. All of the mounts are presented on a habitat base that was created using natural elements such as real leaves, limbs, moss, and dirt. The total display is a wildlife work of art that tells the story of each of these incredible bucks and the bowhunters who harvested them. They have recaptured all the details of each buck, including harvest data, equipment list, the original Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young score sheets, the story of the hunt told by the hunter himself, trail cam photos, and harvest photos. All of this information is presented within the display or on several plasma monitors. The 200 Club Monster Buck Display is a work in progress and will continue to grow. As more bowhunters become members of the 200 Club, they will add more Monsters to the display.

Each of the bucks are Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young certified. This means that each buck was taken legally, archery only, fair chase only (no high fenced hunts), and harvested on public or private land. Over half of the bucks were known bucks, scouted and hunted hard. In several cases they had trail cam pictures and video of the buck. Be it luck or hard hunting, each of these hunters have two things in common; when the buck of a lifetime presented itself at close (bow) range, they had the composure to execute a great shot and none of these hunters are professionals or work in the hunting industry. By highlighting this group of everyday bowhunters, they are saying to everyone, “Hey, you can do this to. Do your scouting, practice hard, hunt smart, hunt hard, and one day you could become a member of the 200 Club.”

It's a fact that less than 2% of all whitetail deer in the Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett Record Books score 200 net inches or better. So come see 12 of these monster bucks at the Ft. Wayne Sports, Vacation and Boat Show. Features of The 200 Club Monster Bucks Display include:
